💜 Purple Carolina Reaper looking absolutely sinister!

Dark foliage, loads of gnarly purple pods and that unmistakable Reaper shape — beautiful, but definitely not friendly 🔥🌶️ The pods will eventually ripen through to red.

And yes, that is our 100kg Great Dane being used for scale at the end… somehow the plant still manages to make her look small 😂🐕🌳

🌶️ Indonesian Variegated × BRW × ODA – F5 🌶️

Another absolutely stunning grow from Agus 🇮🇩🔥

There is a LOT going on with this one! Beautiful variegated foliage, purple stems, fantastic bleeding and some absolutely GIANT calyxes. 😍

The pods are real colour changers too, displaying an incredible mix of purple, pale yellow, orange and finally deep red as they develop. 🎨🌶️

Those enormous purple calyxes have to be the standout feature though — some of them almost completely engulf the young pods, with fantastic purple bleeding extending into the stems.

At F5 we're still watching how this one develops and selecting the best plants, but it's looking seriously special.

🌶️ SOUL SQUEEZE CHILLI 🌶️

Now this is a rather splendid looking pepper! 😍

Soul Squeeze is a creation from Towns-End Chili & Spice, bred from Dulce Sol × Sugar Rush Peach (Erotic). This one is a C. baccatum, selected for its excellent flavour, huge productivity and much quicker ripening compared with Sugar Rush Peach.

And when we say productive, we mean PRODUCTIVE! 😂 The plants grow very tall and ours have produced well over 500 pods on EACH plant! 🌶️🌶️🌶️

And check out the shape on some of them! 👀 They almost look like they have a little spine running down the centre of the pod, giving them a really unusual, almost skeletal appearance. 💀🌶️ Definitely one of the more distinctive peppers we have growing this year!

🔥🌶️ BBG Green Mustard 🌶️🔥

A nice harvest of BBG Green Mustard — and definitely one of the more unusual Bubblegum types!

Originally discovered by Brandon Joy amongst the BBG Red line, this one has held its distinctive mustard colouring ever since. The pods ripen from green to a deep mustard/olive colour, with that classic Bubblegum trait where the colour bleeds right through into the calyx. 👌

Genetics are 7 Pot Yellow × Moruga Scorpion, so despite the slightly innocent-looking colour, these are firmly in superhot territory. 🔥🔥🔥

Cut open, they have thick, juicy-looking walls, plenty of placenta and a fruity aroma — but they're certainly not one we'd recommend casually biting into! 😂

🌶️ One of our more unusual breeding projects — now at F4!

And yes… the name is a bit of a mouthful 😂

F4 (CDC × TMLH) × (BRW × DOE) × Petalosa Bleeding

Or, in full:

(Dream Catcher × Thunder Mountain Longhorn) × (Bleeding Rawit White × Doe Hill) × Petalosa

This cross was originally created by Agus Bangkat Widagdo, and we’ve taken our line from F3 to F4.

The Petalosa genetics have an interesting story of their own. Petalosa Doppio was originally found by Massimo Stomeo in Italy and is known for its extraordinary double-petalled flowers — a very unusual trait in peppers. 🇮🇹🌸

Agus went on to use Petalosa in a number of crosses, including this one, combining it with Dream Catcher, Thunder Mountain Longhorn, Bleeding Rawit White and Doe Hill.

There are some really interesting genetics at play here. Earlier generations produced striped pods, double/multiple-petalled flowers and the unusual “bleeding” calyx, and we‘re already seeing some fascinating characteristics continuing into our F4 plants.

Just look at that flower! 🤍🌶️ Definitely not your typical chilli bloom, while the young pods are showing some lovely pale striping too.

Being F4, there’s still plenty of genetic variation to work through, which is half the fun. We‘ll be selecting the most interesting plants and seeing what develops as the pods mature.

Definitely one to watch! 👀🌶️

They don’t come much bigger than this! 😳🌶️

Absolutely monstrous 7 Pot Chaguanas Yellow pods coming off the plants today. Huge, heavy, gnarly pods with that gorgeous golden-yellow colour — and certainly not lacking in the heat department either! 🔥🔥🔥

Definitely one of those chillies where one pod goes a very long way... 😂

🌶️ Farmers Market Jalapeño 🌶️

Definitely not your average jalapeño! 👀

Farmers Market Jalapeño produces chunky, heavily corked pods with incredible cracking and texture as they mature. 🌶️🔥

The pods start green before ripening to a deep red, with the corking becoming more dramatic as they grow. Great flavour, good heat and probably one of the most unusual-looking jalapeños you can grow.
