INTRODUCING: The fresh-face of the much-loved Copper Christmas Trees 🎄(now with a twist...)

A wooden base... doesn't seem like a big change? Until you know what can be added to that base 👀 A personalised copper plaque of course! (I'll add the plaque and show you as soon as I'm back in the workshop!)

Who will you dedicate yours to? Maybe it'll be your family Christmas Tree? or maybe a little tribute to the loved ones that aren't sat at the table this year.

As per usual; there's going to be limited availability on these. 20 of them in total, each one will be specially handcrafted by me, for you.

For Copper Awareness Day, I've partnered with CuSP (Copper Sustainability Partnership) to shine a light on the benefits of copper and the positive impact it can have.

CuSP champions the benefits of copper as a durable, sustainable and recyclable material, helping raise awareness of its value across the built environment.

Being self employed, means no paid holidays, no sick leave and if not careful, can lead to burnout.

Once December rolls around, and every order is wrapped up and sent out - I'm going to take the month to be with Harps and my other half, for our little girl's first Christmas. It'll be my first break of the year.

SIDENOTE: A friendly Christmas Copper piece will be returning this year🎄 can you guess what I'm adding to make them even more special??

A quick heads up: The Poppies are still available to order, and 10% of each still goes to Royal British Legion - I just can't promise delivery by Remembrance Day to any orders placed after midnight last night (I will try my best to get them to you ASAP though!)

In the final hours of this years Copper Poppy Appeal, I wanted to open my heart up a little bit to you all...

Honestly, I just want to thank everyone that's been a part of it so far - it's been a thought-provoking time, certainly a year that will stay with me forever.

I've heard some of your stories, you've heard some of mine; and together we've shared thoughts about those that keep us safe - the sons, daughters, siblings, parents and grandparents that serve, or have served, their country; our home 🇬🇧 After all, these heroes are what the poppy appeal is all about.

If you'd still like to get involved, every single copper poppy is still a donation to RBL. Not to mention - it's also an everlasting piece to remind us to never forget.

I’ll admit my eyes were leaking a bit whilst I cleaned this one up, so here’s the backstory...

A few weeks ago, a lady got in touch with me. She lost her Mum several years ago, and the family home, where her Mum had raised her and her siblings single-handedly, was about to be demolished.

Then fate stepped in. Her husband managed to get hold of some of the copper pipe from her Mum’s house before it was demolished, and that very same pipe went into making this sunflower, her Mum’s favourite flower.

It just felt incredibly fitting to me; the pipe that kept her family warm while they grew up is now bringing warmth again, just in a different way.

I just had to share this one. She gave me the go-ahead to share her story with you lot - and here we are. Be right back, think Harper's cutting onions again...

This Sunday, my Copper Poppy Appeal comes to a close - then it's time for a final tally of our little copper community's donation. Looks like we're just over £100 shy of what we raised during last years appeal - we have big boots to fill; but I know we can still do it!

For those that served their nation, for those that rely on the vital support provided by the Royal British Legion, for those that are no longer with us - they deserve our thoughts. Each Copper Poppy is not only a lifeline, it's an everlasting reminder of the sacrifices that have been made to keep us safe. 🇬🇧

For those unaware; 10% of every Copper Poppy is donated to Royal British Legion; a vital source of support for those that have given so, so much.

WE WILL REMEMBER 🧡
