One of my favorite pieces ‘JOHN STONED’

The inspiration for this piece came to me whilst sitting around my Braai / BBQ in my tiny garden. With very little to look at I began trying to see images on my pebble dash wall (some beer may have been consumed too) It was then that idea of creating an image of someone famous for being stoned came to me. With several people coming to mind John Lennon was the one that stood out.

I started with a bag of mixed stones, washed them all and sorted them into groups of types and shades. Each stone was then individually selected and glued into place. The whole piece was then covered in clear epoxy resin to hold them tight and bring out the colours in the stones.
