What would we do without Olfa? They’re by far the most popular wallpaper knives with decorators.

The Japanese steel is superb, they stay sharp for ages, and I honestly don’t think anything else comes close.

What are your honest thoughts on F&B Dead Flat?

Farrow & Ball is marmite to decorators, but Dead Flat is brilliant in my opinion. Goes on pretty much any interior surface, good opacity, good adhesion, gorgeous finish. Great for drenching.

Besides which, homeowners love Farrow & Ball.

Is there a better exterior stain system than Sadolin??

Build up the colour with Sadolin Classic, then give it a coat of Extra so it stands up to UV. Just use Sadolin Extra for maintenance coats thereafter.

It’s the finish that does it for me. It’s rich and deep. Really nice stuff.

Been using this stuff again.... Really can't fault it to be fair. What does everyone else think about it?

The sheen level is somewhere between matt and eggshell for me. Goes on alright, and the finish is bob on. Anti-mould too, which is a bonus.

Still love these brushes!! I find you’ve got to match the hatch a little bit – they’re no good in paint that drags like contract matt because the bristles are too soft, but they’re fantastic for durable matt, eggshell, water-based trim paints, etc.

Sleek, smooth, hold loads of paint, reasonably priced, and quick to wash out.

Other than scraping, what’s this used for? It’s the Purdy 10-in-1 Tool…. I don’t know what the other 9 jobs are... I only ever use it as a scraper.

It’s one of the best I’ve got, too. Sturdy as hell.. Even the label doesn’t come off.
