Yes... Yes I do give lessons! 😁😁😁. It's now the answer to my most asked (by a long way) FAQ!

It's been a long time coming and I must have been asked hundreds of times, but lessons are finally a thing here at Lonn Landis Ceramics. From this morning you can now book wheel throwing taster sessions on my website. Sessions will be 2-3 hours long and there will only be 2 participants to a session so you won't have to wait to get the help you need if you get stuck.

So pop on over to the website and book your session. But be careful...clay can be super addictive (trust me, I know!) 🤣🤣

Well what a day that was! Opening day! 🎉🎉🎉

Almost exactly a year (to the week!) from leaving my day job to follow this mad obsession, and here I am with my own place with my name over the door.

Soooooooo many lovely people came to browse, chat, have a nosey and buy. We only had about 10 mins all day when there wasn't anyone in. Thank you so much to everyone who came by, or supported me at some stage along the road to get here.

Absolutely shattered now, but no rest... I'm trading at Calderstones in the morning (Makers at the Mansion)! I guess I can sleep sometime next week - gotta schedule that in! 🤣🤣🤣

GRAND OPENING!!!!

I am so excited (and slightly terrified) to announce that my new shop/studio will be opening in 7 days time!

The details:
Date/time - Sat 26th Sept, 10-5

Location - 9 Bridge Street, Neston, CH64 9UH
Just opposite Rightway, and next door to Kri Kri the Greek restaurant.

Parking - park in the main free car park in Neston, it's a 2 min walk from there. There is also a small free car park to the left of the mini roundabout past the shop (what3words - ///happier.received.fools). Please help me respect my neighbor, and DON'T park in Kri Kri's car park - it's for them.

What to expect - Prosecco and pottery! Come see my space, my work, my wheels, and celebrate the opening! My work will be available for sale, but PLEASE DO NOT FEEL YOU NEED TO BUY TO BE THERE! I just want this to be a celebration of this milestone in my career as a Potter!

The shop - It's got 3 main uses.
1) it's my new studio - everything I make now will be made there. Most of the time I'll be making while the shop is open so you can pop in and watch me make.

2) Lessons - I've got 2 new wheels (that were actually used in the Great Pottery Throwdown!), so in the near future (not quite ready yet) I'll be giving wheel throwing taster lessons 2:1, and the occasional larger group (maybe 4-6) hand building workshop. More details on all of this as it develops.

3) Shop - a place where you can browse and buy my work.

OK this is getting very real now! 🎉🎉😬😬😁😁

Sign is up, floor is down, elecy is on, wheels are in place and I'm very nearly ready to open. Windows will likely be papered up in the next few days as I have a surprise brewing (not a very well kept secret if I've spoken to you in the past 3 months! 🤣).

And I'm currently aiming for 26 Sep as the opening day - so save the date! The prosecco will be flowing. I'll post more details closer to the day, but because the shop is so small, I've decided to go for a full grand opening day rather than a 2hr evening do.

There it is - the deadline is out there in the world so now I have to meet it. Better get back to work!

Well it finally happened!! And I was really beginning to think it WOULDN'T! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

I'VE GOT A SHOP!!! Lease signed today and the keys are now mine! I can't wait to get it all fixed up and welcome everyone in!

I'll be selling my work in the front, making at the back of the room so you can see me in action, and I've got a couple more wheels on the way so I can do lessons finally too!

I am far, far beyond excited. I'd like to say it's a dream come true, but I never really had it in the overall plan until about a year ago. Sometimes life just takes you there!

It'll either be the best thing that ever happened or the worst. You guys get to decide for me. Any support you can give me along the way is soooooo much appreciated.

The retail launch of my new 'Studio Remix' glaze! 😍😍😍. My full drinkware range is now available in MerseyMade West Kirby. Get them while they last. This glaze is a one off and cannot be reproduced as I have no idea what the recipe is! It's made up of all my recycled washings from my normal glazes. Nothing - and I mean NOTHING - goes to waste in my studio! ♻️ ♻️ ♻️
