Happy 40th Birthday, Drew.

To the man who celebrated the biggest milestones with the same enthusiasm as the smallest victories. The fact that you are so deeply missed is a testament to just how loved you were.

Love is a feeling like no other. To be loved by Drew was to feel seen, valued and truly special. He had a way of making people feel important, whether they had known him for years or had only just met him.

Today, on what would have been your 40th birthday, I want to say thank you. Thank you for the laughter, the adventures, the lessons and the memories. Thank you for the moments that seemed ordinary at the time but have become some of my most treasured memories. Thank you for being bold enough to take a chance on an idea and build a business that neither of us could have imagined would touch so many lives. I will always be grateful for the journey we shared and for everything we created together.

So, on your birthday, I have a simple request. Tell someone you love them. Tell them how much they mean to you. Tell them how grateful you are that they are part of your life. We so often assume people know, but the truth is that those words matter.

Today is a reminder that love, kindness and connection leave a mark that lasts far beyond our time here.

And finally, on your special day, I just want to say how incredibly sad I am that you never got the chance to cause absolute chaos with ChatGPT. You would have absolutely loved it. I can only imagine the questions, the grand plans and the trouble you would have got up to.

A stroll through sun drenched streets. The scent of bitter orange drifting through hidden courtyards. Fresh citrus hanging in the warm air as the city slows beneath the evening sun.

After escaping to Seville, I returned home inspired to capture that feeling in fragrance.

Our new summer scent brings together sparkling bergamot, grapefruit and bitter orange with delicate jasmine.

Bright, uplifting and full of sunshine, it is more than a fragrance. It is a memory of Seville, poured into a candle.

The LGBTQ+ community makes a significant contribution to the UK economy through what is often referred to as the “Pink Pound”, with spending power estimated to be worth billions of pounds every year. Behind those figures are real people supporting independent businesses, creating jobs, driving innovation and helping communities thrive.

For us, Pride has always been about more than rainbows. It is about creating spaces where people feel welcome, valued and able to be themselves. It is about celebrating diversity, honouring those who came before us, and continuing to support those who still face barriers today.

As a business founded by two gay men, we are incredibly grateful for the community that has embraced us, supported our dreams and helped us grow over the last decade.

Our boutique will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week, reopening Friday and Saturday with Anita in store to welcome you.
