Personal, one-to-one interior design with Ingrid. BIID Registered Interior Designer, Macclesfield. I’m Ingrid Šírová, the designer behind Interiors by Ingrid.

I’m a qualified, BIID Registered Interior Designer with 20 years of experience in high-end residential interiors. Working with you one to one, I take time to understand your lifestyle, taste and aspirations for your home. Every project is personally designed by me, responding to the architecture of your property and the way you want to live. From individual room transformations to complete renovations, I consider the whole interior: spatial planning, kitchens, bathrooms, lighting, bespoke cabinetry, furniture, materials and finishing details. My background in fashion design and formal interior design training at Liverpool John Moores University inform my approach to proportion, texture, colour and craftsmanship. I work closely with trusted craftspeople and specialist suppliers to bring each design together, from concept to completion. Based in Macclesfield, I work with private residential clients in Prestbury, Alderley Edge, Knutsford, Wilmslow and the surrounding areas. Planning a renovation or looking to transform your home? Imagine starting and ending your day here.

At The Vault in Alderley Edge, we created a bathroom with the atmosphere of a private spa. A generous shower and freestanding bath make room to unwind, while considered lighting gives the space warmth.

Beautiful to look at. A pleasure to live with.

A dressing room should feel as considered as the clothes within it.

At Highbank in Alderley Edge, I designed two adjoining dressing rooms with bespoke cabinetry, elegant lighting and comfortable velvet seating. Shared finishes connect them beautifully to the bedroom.

A brighter welcome at Mulberry Lodge, Hale.✨

This Victorian entrance hall had beautiful proportions, but limited daylight and a long, narrow layout made it feel dark.

I introduced pale finishes, limestone-inspired porcelain flooring and layered lighting to create a lighter, more welcoming space. Wall panelling and substantial cornices complement the home’s period character, while handcrafted bronze wall lights and carefully chosen artwork bring warmth and personality.

Hallways deserve the same care as the rooms they connect. Here, the result is a calm, inviting entrance that sets the tone for the home beyond.

Where heritage meets contemporary design.

At Mulberry Lodge, a beautiful Victorian residence in Hale, my approach was to celebrate the property's original architectural character while introducing carefully considered contemporary elements.

The original stained-glass skylight inspired a bespoke wall-mounted chandelier, featuring 100 handcrafted bronze buds against softly aged antique mirror.

A striking example of how thoughtful design, exceptional craftsmanship and an understanding of architecture can create something truly individual.

CONTEMPORARY DRESSING ROOM DESIGN

A mix of warm metallic accents in this recently completed dressing room embodies contemporary design at its best. It features a dark-stained solid wood wardrobe, dark brushed brass handles with knurled detailing and a luxurious modern chandelier in antique brass that enhances the opulent atmosphere.

To create a welcoming guest bedroom, adhere to warm, earthy neutrals or soft, muted pastels to create a peaceful sanctuary. Introduce a modern reading nook by pairing a contemporary low-profile swivel accent chair with a sculptural floor lamp and a quirky side table, providing guests with a comfortable retreat away from the bed.
