Why not cheer yourself up in the colder days, wrap yourself in a cosy throw as modelled by the late great Reggie. This was his last shop photo before he recently passed over the rainbow bridge.

We really wanted to pop on to thank everyone for their kind messages to both Joy and family and also to us here at the shop.

SAD TIDINGS-
LAST POST FOR
REGGIE
It is with a heavy heart we need to let you know that Reggie went over The Rainbow Bridge early last week after a brief illness.

As our Marketing Director he can never be replaced. Starting as a tiny puppy in our Coulter shop and when we then moved to Biggar he was Joy's constant companion in the shop. 11 years of brilliant service, a character you will all agree. He kept the shop under control. Helping cut fabric, sewing, advertising sales and events (and all without thumbs). Latterly selling lots of throws by modelling his own comfy throw from his chair keeping us all in check.

Our thoughts go to Joy and family at this sad time.

FLY HIGH REGGIE - WE WILL MISS YOU.

Sorry we have been quiet. Holidays, busy family times and summer projects make time pass so quickly. So now it is time to pop into the shop and select that little piece of fabric, you did not know you needed, to complete that project you did not even know you had.

IMPORTANT - Change to Cabbage Patch trading hours.

From 1st August 2026 we will be open TUESDAY to SATURDAY 10am till 4pm.

Come in an pick up some great roll ends and fabric pieces, just perfect for that upcoming project. We have some fantastic bargains just now in the shop.

Sewing machine servicing. Here are Cabbage Patch we can arrange for your sewing machine to be serviced by the amazing engineer that does ours (not Reggie). Hand into shop with a note of what you think is wrong (if anything), your name, address and contact number and Wilma will arrange this for you.

We know it is July, and we have had some lovely hot weather, but this week has been a little cooler. Not enough to urge us to put the heating on..... We have a solution, snuggle up at night, we have lots of beautiful soft throws that are perfect for the job. Come in and have a try.

Summer storms, summer sun, summer holidays, buzzing bees (Reggie loves them). Lots of summer scents in Mason Berger diffusers all the way from Paris for you to enjoy. Also the bees fly around on some of the fabric in stock, different colours and patterns. We have lots of summery fabrics, both in patchwork and household fabrics. Pop in to a lovely cool shop and have a browse.

Closed this morning - Urgent - Change of hours
Reggie says to unforseen circumstances we will only be open in the afternoon for both
Thursday 11th and Friday 12th June (open 1pm - 4pm only)
Saturday 13th June open 10am to 4pm as normal.
We hope to be back to normal next week. Thank you for your understanding.

"A plea from Reggie"
A member of the Cabbage Patch Dog Brigade has had lots of lovely puppies. If you have any old newspapers waiting to be recycled they could put them to good use. Ps Reggie wanted to add a disclaimer that he is not responsible in any way, shape or form.
