Short haul gives mild sunshine.
Longer haul gives true warmth.

Destinations worth considering:

• Dubai for guaranteed sun and short-ish long haul
• Caribbean islands for beach weather
• Florida for theme parks + warmth
• Morocco for something different without extreme flight time

The key question is not “where is hot?”
It’s “what flight time and pace actually works for us?”

Easter can be brilliant - but the right choice depends on ages, budget and energy levels.

✔ September for warm sea + fewer crowds
✔ Families who want short flights and easy logistics
✔ People who don’t want extreme heat

And when it doesn’t:

✖ If you want guaranteed 30°C in early April
✖ If you hate busy resorts in August
✖ If you’re expecting Caribbean‑level luxury everywhere

The Mediterranean is fantastic if you choose the right country, the right coast, and the right hotel.

Not all all‑inclusive resorts are equal.

Before booking, check:

✔️ Are snacks included between meals?
✔️ Are branded drinks included?
✔️ Are kids clubs included or extra?
✔️ Are restaurants bookable or first come first served?
✔️ Are airport transfers included?

This is where holidays can look similar in price but feel completely different once you arrive.

Check the flight times carefully!

Early morning flights sound great in theory, but for families they often mean:

• Overtired kids before you even arrive
• Stressful airport mornings
• A first holiday day that feels wasted

Mid‑morning or lunchtime flights are often far easier and set the tone for the whole trip.

It sounds small, but timing can completely change how relaxed a holiday feels.

A mistake I see families make when booking holidays - and I'm guilty of it too - is that they try to do too much.

Too many activities, too many day trips, too many plans “just in case”. What often gets missed is time to rest, reset, and actually enjoy being away together.

Packed itineraries sound good on paper, but they often lead to overtired kids and frustrated adults.

Some of the best holidays are the simplest ones. Fewer plans, more breathing space, and room for things to unfold naturally.
