What a fantastic exhibition Mead Quilters had today.
My two favourites were these. Why???
I LOVED that the quilter showed the block that she made the various stack and whack blocks from. You don’t usually see that. That pink fabric was bold and stunning.
The second was the cups of tea - the hand quilting to make the illusion of a lace doily was delicate and beautiful.

Have a look at this stunning baby quilt.

This quilt was made using the Painted Forest pattern, with Kaffe Fassett fabrics from Fashion ‘n’ Fabrics .
You cannot see it on the main photo but I used an electric blue thread to quilt wind lines across the trees. I wanted to pick up the electric blue that Kaffe uses in his fabrics. The back of the quilt is a plain dark green. To make the back ‘plain-er’ I used a matching green thread for the bobbin.🧵

I would like to wish a very happy 10th birthday to my best boy Oscar.
He’s not only the most handsome wheaten terrier, he’s also my sewing room security, afternoon snooze buddy, joy of my life, the best little fur baby and my darling boy.
Having Oscar has made my life so much more and despite his dramas and naughtiness, I would not be without him.🧵

I’ve finished the top of the Painted Forest quilt and waiting to sandwich and quilt it.

In the meantime, I’m prepping the second quilt with Kaffe Fassett fabrics. This one is one of the many layouts of the American Potato Chip quilt.

This quilt is for Mosaic Hair Studio for their Christmas Charity Raffle. Make sure and stop in to buy a couple of tickets.🧵

My next 2 quilts are going to be made with Kaffe Fassett fabrics. I’m only using 6 Kaffe fabrics for the first one, so will be mixing and matching them.
The client asked for a baby quilt with greens and trees, so thought out of the box and found the fabulous’Painted Forest’ by Scott Hansen .
This is going to be fun.🧵
