I stock hand dyed yarns that have been commercially spun by a reputable mill using ethically sourced fibre. I dye them myself using professional acid dyes (acid refers to the citric acid used during the process - which is very safe and poses no danger to the knitter/wearer of the yarn). I love to experiment with colour and I'm always looking to expand my horizons with new fibres and colourways. I'm a keen knitter and spinner, and I adore processing raw fibre. I love taking a greasy, dirty fleece and transforming it into something beautiful that I can turn into something even more beautiful, and hopefully useful! I try to support local sheep farmers where I can, I like to know that the beautiful sheep that produce the fleece I use have been treated well and looked after. I test spin every fibre that I have processed - I only stock and sell items that I would be happy to use myself. If you have a particular colourway that you would like produced for a project, please don't hesitate to get in touch, I'd be very pleased to work with you to bring your ideas to fruition!
