Peering over the stable door, how to kill & pluck a chicken. I was never brave enough. Ducking under the stable door and falling off the upturned bucket.
White chickens are for fattening, brown are for laying.
Sally the collie dog, nipped & checked us like tups…don’t run, don’t squeal, we never learned.
