Lone Tree in the Mist
I painted this moody atmospheric scene before I went on holiday and I have only just managed to get it float mounted today. I was waiting for a custom made frame to arrive.
Tomorrow I will be taking it to the Travaille Gallery in Sherborne for visitors there will be able to view it, along with an assortment of paintings I've done.

FOCUSED
Over the last few weeks I have been trying out oil paints and the more I use them, the more I like them to work with.
I am venturing outside of my comfort zone and aiming to broaden my horizons with my subject matter. I have been playing with land and seascapes however, I am still going to be painting animals and birds.
Here is the first wildlife painting I have done.

Sunset.
I think I have mentioned previously that I have invested in some oil paints and wanted to broaden my horizons regarding my subjects.
I was completely out of my comfort zone with this and after a few errors I managed to get to the point where I am happy..ish.

A Colourful Robin RedBreast
I am, at the moment, finding my way around oils!
In the meantime I am painting small, as in 8in (approx) round log slices. They are fun to paint but getting the detail is harder than painting on canvas!
This is my second in a series of birds, although I do plan to venture out to the world of landscapes at some point.
I hope you like him.
Acrylic on Wood.
This painting is for sale, along with the blue tit I painted a week or so ago.
