The Stag, Kimberley: Completed! ✅

A full decorative refurbishment designed to retain the traditional character and integrity of the pub, while introducing a fresh, contemporary feel.

Warm reds and earthy greens bring richness and warmth back into the interiors, complemented by an extended bar servery, a new fixed seating layout, new and refurbished furniture, updated lighting and new carpets throughout.

Outside, the beer garden has also been enhanced with a new stretch tent and play equipment, working alongside the existing external bar and kitchen to create a welcoming space for all ages. A family-friendly, wholesome pub designed to be enjoyed year-round.

A huge thank you to Azeem Iqbal and Harry Bourne at Punch as well as the SODA Build team, for helping bring the project to life.

Meet Carl Tunnicliffe, our Senior Contracts Manager! 👷‍♂️📋

Carl plays a key role in the successful delivery of our projects, overseeing contracts from the early stages through to completion and ensuring everything runs smoothly along the way.

Working closely with clients, contractors and project teams, Carl helps manage programmes, coordinate resources and tackle challenges as they arise.

We asked Carl what he loves most about his career, and this is what he had to say:

💬 "I love being involved with every project from the initial tender stage right through to successful delivery. Having worked in this industry for many years, I know that every project brings unique challenges. I always promote the philosophy that we can only achieve zero-snag handovers by truly working as a team. Hearing a client walk in on handover day and simply say 'WOW' is the ultimate testament to the high standards we strive for every day here at SODA Group."

Carl's extensive knowledge, experience and attention to detail has contributed to making SODA Group the success it has today.

Another SODA Design & Build project complete ✨

We’re delighted to share the finished transformation of The Tiger Inn, Beverley. A Grade II listed pub that needed a considered refresh to revive the space while retaining its original character and charm.

Working across both interior design and fit-out, our team reimagined the pub to create distinct bar, lounge, and dining areas, each with its own identity while still feeling part of one cohesive scheme.

The refurbishment included new quality timber flooring and carpet, a complete decorative scheme with feature wallpapers, a mix of new and existing furniture, and updated lighting throughout. All delivered with careful attention to the building’s listed features and heritage.

This project is a great example of our SODA Design & Build offering. Clients can work with us for Design, Build, or bring both services together for a fully integrated approach from concept through to completion.

Another project complete ✅

We’re pleased to share the finished transformation at Inn On The Green, Acomb.
A SODA Design & Build project delivered for Daniel Thwaites.

The scheme focused on creating a bigger, better outdoor space designed for socialising and sports viewing, with an extended patio, new furniture, covered seating areas and an outdoor TV.
An existing store was also completely transformed into a new external bar, featuring full bar and backfitting, new flooring, lighting and furniture, alongside a dedicated darts area. A new barn door and serving hatch complete the space, which can now also be booked out as a separate area.

A brilliant addition to the venue and a great space for guests to enjoy year-round.

A big thank you to Wayne Hunt, Project Manager at Thwaites Brewery, and everyone involved in bringing the project together.
