Lewis & Wood still prints everything in-house at a mill near Stroud, the same way they have since 1993.

Every pattern starts as an old embroidery, an archive find or a piece of folk art, reworked rather than copied, and their wallpapers run wide-width, wider rolls than most, which means fewer seams up a wall.

In 1993, a young Cath Kidston opened one shop in Holland Park with no grand plan. The new AW26 collection still works from the same unhurried instinct.

Six new Zinc Textile fabrics landed on the site this week, and they've brought a proper 1970s cocktail hour with them. Zinc's whole identity is built on that decade, tactile and a little seductive, never precious about it. Bouclé, checkerboard chenille, a velvet bolster you want to sink straight into. Sen no Rikyu spent the sixteenth century making an unusual argument: that a chipped bowl could be more beautiful than a flawless one. Four hundred years on, that same idea has landed on the wall.
Wabi-sabi asks for pattern that never repeats in exactly the same way, texture that shifts with the light, materials that get more interesting with age rather than staying static. We think it holds up remarkably well as an argument for how to choose wallpaper, not just teacups.

Worth saving for the next time someone tells you a room has to be flawless to work.

Wabi-sabi says the most interesting rooms are never perfect. Hand dyed pattern that never repeats exactly, grasscloth that gets more textured with age, materials left to behave naturally instead of staying flawless. That’s the whole idea, on a wall.

There is a colour that keeps turning up in every mood board we build this year, and it is not the soft, safe yellow of a nursery or a beach cottage. It is warmer than that, closer to mustard and ochre and old brass, the kind of yellow that has clearly been chosen on purpose.

We have pulled together five of our favourite examples currently on site, from the hand-drawn graphic marks of Tres Tintas' New Primitivism and Urban Tribe collections to Coordonné's fine architectural stripes and Moroccan-inspired rug motifs. Each one uses yellow differently, as a backdrop for pattern, as a metallic sheen, as a quiet, considered line. Swipe through and see which one you would actually live with.

There is a particular kind of shopping list that gets a little longer every time we add something new to the site: the wallpapers and fabrics you have been saving to a folder for months, waiting for the right moment. That moment is now.

Coordonné is new to Wallpaper Sales and we're really pleased to have them here.
They've been making wallpaper in Barcelona since 1978. That's over 40 years of knowing exactly what they're doing. What makes them different is how they work.

A lot of what you see comes from collaborations with artists, painters, photographers and designers from across Spain and beyond. Each collection has a real creative brief behind it rather than just a trend to follow.

The creative director Conce Fiol once described their murals as a way of giving everyone access to a fresco in their home. Whether you live in a flat, a cottage or something much grander. That idea runs through everything they make. Beautiful wallpaper that doesn't feel like it's only for certain kinds of rooms or certain kinds of people.

We've spent time going through the collection and these are the pieces we keep coming back to.
