A cautionary tale from a recent customer experience...
TL;DR the customer service and value for money we offer cannot be beaten (or even matched) by buying online!
James was recently contacted by a local gentleman who had shopped with us here at The Living Room in the past.
This time, he had ordered a stove online as the gentleman no longer has access to a vehicle, so believed that ordering online and having it arrive at his door would by far be the easiest option.
After a three week wait, unfortunately the stove arrived damaged.
He tried to contact the supplier, and after several emails and calls a replacement arrived. Also damaged.
Third time lucky...? This time the wrong fire was sent. Frustrated, the customer cancelled his order, and is still waiting for his refund.
The gentleman then thought he would call our store to see if we could supply this same electric stove and deliver it to his home.
As we are a Dimplex Living UK store we were able to deliver one almost immediately, so James was happy to take it to the customer personally, and allow the customer to unpack and check it before he left, to make sure everything was ok.
The customer was delighted with our service, and what is more - he reported that we were actually around £10 cheaper than he had paid the online retailer!
