It’s strange how much a space can affect your mood without you even realising it.

You walk into some classrooms or offices and everything feels stressful straight away. It’s too cramped, too noisy, nowhere to properly focus.
Then you walk into a well-designed space and it just feels easier to be there as people work better, students engage more and the whole atmosphere changes.

Nurture Hub - March 2026 🌱
Designed to create a calm, welcoming environment, this space brings together comfort, storage, acoustic features, and decorative planting to support wellbeing, connection, and quiet moments throughout the day.

With integrated seating, practical shelving, soft finishes, and biophilic-inspired design elements, the Nurture Hub has been created as more than just a functional area. It is a space where people can pause, reset, collaborate, and feel supported.

At Werk Solutions Limited, we believe thoughtful design can shape how a space feels just as much as how it functions. The Nurture Hub is a great example of creating an environment that feels calm, purposeful, and inviting.

Not every student learns best sitting still.
For many SEN students, movement is not a distraction, it is a tool for regulation, focus, and comfort.

That is why rocking chairs can be such a valuable addition to the learning environment.

Rhythmic movement can provide vestibular input, helping some students feel calmer, more settled, and better able to engage. For others, that gentle motion can support concentration, emotional regulation, and body awareness throughout the school day.

A rocking chair can also offer a safer, more purposeful alternative to other movement-seeking behaviours, giving students a way to meet their sensory needs without disrupting learning.

Of course, it is never a one-size-fits-all solution. Some learners may find movement overstimulating, which is why the right furniture should always be considered as part of a wider, thoughtful classroom strategy.

At Werk Solutions, we believe inclusive spaces should support the way students learn and sometimes that starts with rethinking the chair.

These Retreat Pod Spaces are a simple but powerful addition to a school environment.
Not every pupil finds it easy to move from a busy corridor straight into learning. Having a dedicated place to step in for a few minutes can make a real difference, especially for children who need support with regulation, anxiety, sensory overload, or just a moment to reset.

These pods give pupils a calm, comfortable space where they know they can:
take a breath, regulate and settle, feel included and supported and finally, head into class ready to learn!

They’re ideal for wellbeing, inclusion support, mentoring, quiet catch-ups, or just giving a child the space they need before lessons.

Here’s a peek at our latest installation: The Nurture Hub 🌿
Designed as a little oasis of calm within a busy environment, this space is all about comfort, focus and wellbeing. The space uses soft lighting, greenery, and cosy breakout seating to encourage quiet conversation, reflection, or a reset.
Spaces like this don’t just look good, they help people feel better, work better, and connect better.

Feeling a bit nostalgic today.

Since day one, our showroom has welcomed so many brilliant people, from one to one meetings and informal visits to full training days and team sessions. Every conversation, every visit, and every collaboration has helped shape this space into what we hoped it would be, a hub of calm, motivation, and genuinely good energy.

We are truly grateful to everyone who has walked through our doors so far, and we cannot wait to welcome the next wave.
