The last little job finished for my clients in Killingworth.

Their conservatory was in need of a little lift 🙌🏼

A few cracks and flaked paint to sort out.
Ceiling finished in Isomat Premium white matt
Walls finished in ‘Nutmeg White’ cleanable matt

A freshen up for returning clients ✨

Some plastering repair work by Kieran Wrightson Plastering Services and new radiators fitted by Jake Lay Gas & Heating Services 🙌🏼

Ceiling finished in Isomat Premium white matt

Walls finished in ‘Nutmeg White’ Cleanable matt

Woodwork primed and finished in a water based white satin.

Work has started on the conservatory, and that’ll be finished on Monday.

A very simple answer..

Young girls are intimidated. They know it’s more men on sites and they’re worried about how they’ll be treated and spoken to.

I’ve experienced the comments, the snide remarks and the “banter” from blokes as an apprentice. I still get them now but with years of experience I know how to deal with them all.

I grew up with brothers, so it’s fair to say I gave as good as I got but that shouldn’t have been the case. Trade and site work isn’t encouraged in schools either with is a real shame, considering every school, office and even government building have been built by the trades. I’ve been invited to talk in colleges etc, but we still have a lot of work to do to encourage even young lads in to trades and site work, never mind young girls.
