Customer contacted me to investigate a large crack on the stairs, they was confused about what caused it! Upon inspection my professional advice was,I thought the crack was caused by a stud wall that was built on top of a brick wall ,and the stud wall wasn't fixed to the brick wall efficiently! When I investigated further my advice given was totally correct 👏 🤔 so I recommended the stud wall needed fixing to the brickwork to stop further cracks, my advice was to fix the stud wall to the brick wall using bat straps to fix timber stud wall to the brickwork.
Thankfully they took my professional advice and I carried the work out to resolve the problem.👏👏
