Our hero Amy🩷. Amy became the medical professional / big sister that I needed during my pregnancy with the twins. She dealt with every anxiety,problem & panic with such care and professionalism. Amy knew how terrified I was of the delivery room being silent and came in on her day off - late at night! To be there for us. We are forever grateful for Emily and the whole of the preterm prevention team (aswell as many other wards). This is just one of the reasons we’re raising money on the 1st of August.

We met Amy,Ellie and the preterm team very early on in pregnancy. They were a total lifeline for us. We had an appointment every single Wednesday with tests for infection and a scan to check the babies. This enabled us to know my cervix was failing. A few weeks later our boys tried to be born at 22 weeks. Due to the teams exceptional eye for care and knowledge they gave us another 10 weeks of pregnancy that made all the difference in the survival and physical development of our twins. Amy in particular knew how nervous I was for labour and all that could go wrong. Amy came in at 8pm on her day off to be present for us all and we will forever be grateful. As a small thank you, we will be raising money for the Preterm Team and all that they do at our fundraiser on the 1st of August 2026💛

Today we took Ted & Rue to visit Eddie’s new glass leaf so kindly provided by Jasper's Rainbow in the Rainbow Garden at Warwick Hospital. 🍃🌈

This garden was actually being constructed during the days we were there with Eddie in 2022.The window we once stared aimlessly out of was just above us today.I didn’t know at the time that it was this beautiful space being created and that we would be back here 3 years on with our rainbow twins. 👦🏼👦🏼

My experience of maternity care (minus the SCBU team) at this hospital to put it simple was a mess. UHCW have since showed us how easy it is to care,to know & how to keep people safe. Along with years of EMDR therapy,I decided to have treatment for my autoimmune conditions at Warwick due to them being fortnightly. The first few visits were really hard,walking the same corridors we walked Eddie through to the morgue-raw,but real. Myself and the boys now have somewhere peaceful to visit and will do so every time.

I am so grateful to Jasper’s Mum Holly for creating this space for all babies who couldn’t go home🤍for families to come and have calm.It’s provided a ray of light in a place of dark memories and for that we’re forever grateful for her creativity and her son Jasper for inspiring her to create rainbows everywhere.
