Job Description:
Due to further growth NE&C Windows and Doors are looking for train candidates with the right attitude to their work, to become aluminium fabricators and join our growing team!
We will train you in the manufacture of Curtain Walling, Windows, Bi Folding Doors, Shop Fronts., Lift and Slide Patios.
The right candidate will have a positive attitude to their work, and the desire to learn and grow with the business
You will be trained and be responsible for the below:
• Assemble Aluminium products from start to finish; this includes Windows, Doors, Lift and Slides, Bi Fold Doors, Curtain Walling etc.
• Use a variety of hand-held tools.
• Following fabrication drawings
• Understand all health and safety procedures for machinery and within the factory setting.
The role will meet National Minimum Wage for your age group, until you are trained.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

SALARY: £13.91 to £15.00 per Hour + Overtime + Benefits

LOCATION: Washington, Tyne and Wear, North East England

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 8 Hour Shifts

DUTIES

Your duties as the Aluminium Fabricator include:

• Assembling Aluminium Products: Manufacturing aluminium windows, doors, bi-fold doors, lift and slide systems and curtain walling

• Using Hand and Power Tools: Operating a range of hand-held tools and workshop equipment

• Working From Drawings: Following fabrication and technical drawings accurately

• CNC Operation: Using CNC machinery as part of the fabrication process

• Quality Standards: Ensuring all products meet required quality specifications

• Health and Safety Compliance: Adhering to all factory and machinery safety procedures


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in aluminium fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment

• A background in general fabrication, hanging and gearing

• Experience with CNC machinery and workshop tools

• Ability to read and follow fabrication drawings

• A strong understanding of health and safety within a factory setting

• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Not all windows and doors are made equal!!

Having just completed our annual PAS 24 testing the windows and doors performed exactly as we would expect passing security and weather tests extremely well, massive thanks to Craig Aitken from Sealco Scotland Ltd for their continued support , Huw Rogers from Ingenious Locks & Hardware and Maco hardware, it was a very positive but stressful day thanks again everyone.
