It started with Knitting, and then moved onto Cross stitch and in recent years

has moved more into paper crafting. I get enjoyment from taking a blank card and creating something specific and ultimately giving cards to put smiles on the recipient’s faces. Over the last year I have been asked to make specific cards from friends to pass on to others. This Christmas I have received lots of comments on cards I have sent out, hence my decision to try and make them available to others. I am a mum of two boys and also work part time (which quite often feels like full time !) but my escapism is my card making, and other handmade crafts. I have placed a selection of cards available for sale and also a portfolio of previous cards I have made, these obviously can be recreated if required. I ask one thing - if you do require a special bespoke card for a specific person/or hobby, please give me enough time to create it. They do take time and I do like perfection so some have ended up in the recycling bin before....

But it’s not just card making - in recent years I have made a large number of woollen items - both crocheted (Crochet By Chrissie) and knitted (Knits By Krissie), plus vinyl designs on items such as mugs. I am also a volunteer for Octopus For A Preemie, making crocheted Octopus for premature babies. My local hospital needs 70, (yes seventy !) per month. I hope you like my card selection whether you’re buying or just browsing for ideas.....it’s free to look.

It’s time for another Post Box topper creation.

The perfect theme for me - Football, a big part of my life , younger when watching my dad Referee, and now with a husband and 2 boys. It’s safe to say there is always a match on the TV or a ground to visit 😀 ⚽️

So World Cup starts for me with a bit of crafting, crocheted some footballs, made a goal and wow 48 flags created using sublimation ink.

It’s an interactive topper, we have a 12 group stage, 4 countries per group, as countries get eliminated the flags will be updated - so if you don't watch football you'll get updates via the topper who's left in the competition.

Just hope it survives the forecasted rain🌦 ⚽️🌦

This week at work , I was fortunate to host a 1-2-1 crochet workshop with a young female , who was aged 7 , yes 7 😲

She listened to everything I explained to her and within just 1 hour, she had learnt a slip note, chain stitch and double crochet stitch.

We managed a few rows to reinforce the process and to ensure she was confident before she left, she was a delight to teach, one of the best bits of my job.

Credit also to her dad and younger brother who sat quietly with us in the room.

What's behind the names you ask ?

The 'Meyer' lemon is a sweet, highly aromatic hybrid between a true lemon and a mandarin orange. Prized by chefs and home cooks for its floral aroma and low acidity, its thin rind is entirely edible. These compact trees grow beautifully on UK patios and conservatories.

The 'Hamlin' orange is a popular early-season, seedless sweet orange known for its high juice content and excellent cold tolerance. Originating in Florida in 1879, it is one of the most widely grown commercial juice oranges in the United States and is celebrated for its sweet, mild flavor and low acidity.

After a disaster of a start using a variegated yarn that wasnt creating the pattern I wanted, a restart needed on this project last Sunday.

Great progress, now ready for splitting to create back ,left and right fronts. Question is will I get it done ready for my holiday or still be creating it while I'm away 🤔 🙃 🤣
