Pretty little Stag Minstrel leggy bedsides- in beautiful green 💚 “ Acadia Pear “ - a modern twist of Cox and Cox ceramic handles and classic vibes of “ Willow Bough” 🍃
My client couldn’t find what she wanted after searching the internet for bedside tables she liked - so she was delighted to find me to do this commission 🖌️and deliver exactly what she had in mind 😊

This piece is a bit of a Stag Minstrel unicorn 🦄

A beautiful dressing chest , slimline with the hinged mirror, it really is a stunning addition to a bedroom suite . It wasn’t pretty in its old brown coat, broken and covered in stickers . Time for a bit of magic ✨

Sanded , Primed in Cornish Milk primer , and the coats of their gorgeous “1880” , topped with their amazing Matt topcoat .All from the fabulous TCHL Interiors Ltd. See my profile for a cheeky discount code ! 😊

I love , love , love green 💚

Especially Fusion Mineral Paint“Bayberry “ , primed with Cornish Milk stain blocker primer for super flat finish and topped with my clients choice of Satin finish. Not always the easiest but it worked ! Monty found it very tiring watching it all going on so retired to his tea crate in the workshop 💤🐱

A traditional makeover for these lovely leggy Stag minstrel bedsides , sanded back , stained carefully using Fusion Mineral Paint walnut SFO . Lined with “Willow bough” William Morris paper to match my client’s decor. Solid brass handles restored to their shine .

Do you remember this ?

When I first met this piece she was sitting in her owner’s garage- dirty, broken and forlorn😢

Now unrecognisable from the old broken Lebus dressing chest inherited from a beloved Granny and kept in various garages for years! 🕷️

Loads of repairs and sanding , then 2 baths , a sunbathe, followed by two coats of Cornish Milk ultimate primer and three coats of “Wild Maid” 2 coats of wax finish from Polyvine as was the client preference, not forgetting the Guild Lane gold enamel for the handles .
Finally drawers waxed and lined with Laura Ashley Toile paper. 💪
