Since 2016, Chroma Conservation Ltd. has had the privilege of helping to preserve some of London’s most remarkable historic interiors.
From the meticulous conservation of the magnificent 19th-century dome, painted spandrels and decorative wall schemes above the Grand Staircase at the Foreign Office, to the complete re-gilding of the Silver Gallery at the iconic Art Deco Park Lane Hotel using palladium leaf, every project reflects our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and the long-term preservation of our built heritage.
Our work has also included uncovering and recreating a Bloomsbury Group-inspired ceiling at The Grove in Highgate; the conservation cleaning and retouching of the Agnus Dei and coat of arms at the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple; the sensitive conservation and retouching of the Rex Whistler murals commissioned by Sir Philip Sassoon at the recently reopened Trent Park in Enfield; and, most recently, analysing and recreating the long-forgotten decorative roundels on the Waterloo Road elevation of the Old Vic Theatre.
We are proud to work alongside conservation architects, main contractors, heritage organisations, trusts, theatres, churches, designers and private clients, delivering specialist decorative conservation to the highest professional standards.
Every historic interior tells a story. Our role is to preserve those stories with authenticity, precision and respect, ensuring they can be appreciated by generations to come.
Thank you to all of our clients, collaborators and craftspeople who have entrusted us with these extraordinary projects. We look forward to many more.
