A touch of 'Spring' on my craft table today!

Can you remember the last time you took a bark rubbing? This was a childhood activity that I used to love.

Working in education, I have done this with pre schoolers and older students, creating rubbings to use in art, including collage.

We were due to have our lovely beech tree felled today but due to storm Austen it has been postponed. The tree has been part of our lives for 21 years and I'm really going to miss it. So I'm feeling grateful to have it a little longer.

As a crafter, I try to reuse, recycle or pass on as much as possible, to avoid waste and reduce what goes to landfill.

Handmade felt lavender, recently gifted to a friend for her birthday. The lavender lemonade bottle was recycled from the lavender fields cafe, Selbourne and made the perfect vase to complement the stems 💜
