Already Wednesday??!

Thought yesterday’s miserable weather would mean a nice quiet Saturday, so decided it was the perfect opportunity to rearrange the shop, I WAS WRONG!!

The shop was upside down, customers kept coming in and I spent most of the afternoon apologising for the chaos while trying to remember where I’d put everything!

But what a lovely busy day it turned out to be. Thank you to everyone who popped in and put up with me! 💕

Anyway, the desk is back by the window and I think I like it!

It’s another grey Saturday down at Jenny & Co! ☔️☁️💨

I’ve got approximately 231 things I should be doing, but instead I’m wondering whether to move the desk back by the window. Again. 😂

So, to distract myself from the weather and the possibility of moving half the shop around, I thought I’d show you our lovely new wooden Christmas decorations, which have finally made it onto the website! 🎄

But back to the important question… shall I move the furniture?

Someone talk me out of it 🤣💕

We had some lovely customers in yesterday who were very happy to say they saw yesterday’s post and we are most definitely the RIGHT end of the road!!

Coffee was delivered by our friends at the antique shop. Honestly, we’re very well looked after down here.

Meanwhile, the back room is looking particularly fabulous at the minute. That orange 🧡 I’m really pleased with how it’s all coming together, although I do keep finding things to rearrange.

I’m also having my annual dilemma about when it’s acceptable to put the Christmas stock out. Too early? Or am I already behind?!

The new Christmas decorations are on the website though, so at least I’ve managed to get something organised!

Olive and Frank have taken the day off, which means I might actually get some work done. No promises though!!

Well, apparently we’re at the wrong end of Banks Road! 😂

We’ve had a few customers tell us ‘it’s such a shame we’re so far down the road’

Which got me thinking… We’ve got a fabulous bunch of independent shops, some wonderful characters and a fair bit of comings and goings. There’s never a dull moment down our end!

And as if that wasn’t enough, we’ve got a view across the Marine Lake to Wales! Not a bad spot to spend your working day.

Meanwhile, back at Jenny & Co, Christmas is creeping in, I’ve got approximately 400 things I should be doing and Olive spent yesterday barking at every dog that dared walk past in the freezing rain.

So, wrong end of Banks Road?

I think we’re doing alright thank you very much! 💕

Anyway, must crack on. I’ve got things to do… although I’ll probably get distracted by something else first 😂

Olive has officially claimed the best seat in the house… 🐾

Our vintage French settee has taken pride of place in the window, and honestly, we couldn’t have found a better model if we tried.

Just wait until we’ve covered it in our own fabrics… it’s going to be something really special 🤍

For now, we’ll be using it as a prop for our window displays… if we can get Olive to move!

Until then, she’s quite happy keeping it warm for us.
