Soup du jour while the thunder outside is literally making the house rattle- that’s a first- is Artichoke & Bacon.
You just beat a warming homemade soup on a miserable January day!

The weather today is positively Biblical here, so this afternoon I’ll mostly be found hunkered down sewing napkins while the hail comes down the chimney, the thunder thunders & the wind howls!

Are you ordering your Sweet Pea, Zinnia seeds & dahlia bulbs too?
Found this pic from last Summer & it’s spurred me on to get busy with planting prep for beaucoup of fleurs the house & table for this Summer.

I’m also planning ahead for next Spring with my planting …… As “Mother of the Bride” there is much to do on the flowery front!!

I know, I know, it’s hard to pick a fav- But a gal really does love to have choice!

My Provençal inspired tablecloths & napkins are handmade by moi 🧵 to bring a soupçon of Provence to toi!
(Excuse my Franglais in general si’il vous plaît….Its all très tongue in cheek!)

Provence sums up the bonhomie with it’s distinctive colours, smells & sunshine (not to mention the delicious Rosé) & my table linens are designed to grab a sn**ch of this nostalgia- Colourful, traditional & happy.
I like to mix ‘n match the napkins for shabby chic, fun vibes

Right now my toile de jouy ranges are “hot to trot”- Something elegant & rather Marie Antoinette about them!
I call them my Posh Provence” ranges!

Did you know that evergreen wreaths were used to symbolise eternal life & the coming of Spring during the long, dark, cold days of Winter in Medieval times ….
So I think I’ll leave ours up for a little while longer …. A Festive decoration with an ode to a Happy New Year that is nearly upon us
