Rainbow Bay is a children's shoe shop on the Whitley Bay coast. The brief was to make it bold and full of fun without feeling chaotic, and make it hold up on a busy Saturday morning.

Colour is the seed of everything in this shop, but the fixtures have function as well as fun. The hand-painted trunks are props for the shoes, the seating is designed for little people, and the slow business of small shoes going on and off. This is a space a three-year-old wants to explore, and a parent is happy to come back to.

A dining table designed from scratch for this room and this family. I stood in the dining room at Dene View and the design came from the space itself.

Solid oak, chunky panelled legs designed to feel heavy and grounded, like the table has always been there. Finished with natural oils so the grain stays open and the wood softens with time. This bespoke piece was made for years of use. Nothing off the shelf would have done it justice, so we drew it up, chose the wood, and had it made.

Built in partnership with Clarence Interiors, with flooring throughout by Instinctive Flooring. Every surface and detail chosen to hold up to real daily life while still feeling warm and considered.

This is the room that brings the whole house together.

Bespoke designs for the whole family to live in harmony.

The kitchen and dining room were opened up to let light and life move through together, with a separate media room designed to hold its own mood in the evening.

Much of what you see was made uniquely for this house. A bespoke dining table from sketch to reality. Chunky panelled legs and solid oak chosen for warmth and longevity. A backlit media wall shaped to the room. Coving lighting drawn in from the start. A kitchen built in partnership with and flooring throughout by .

When a room needs something that doesn't exist off the shelf, we design it from the ground up. Pieces shaped around the space, the way it's used, and the people who live there.
