🧹Getting New Carpet or Vinyl Fitted? Here’s How to Prep Your Room! 🏠✨

A little preparation before your carpet or vinyl fitting can make a big difference to the final result!

Before we arrive, we recommend:

✅ Clear the room – Remove furniture and personal belongings where possible.
✅ Remove fragile items – Take down ornaments, pictures and anything that could be damaged or knocked.
✅ Check your doors – New carpet and underlay can affect door clearance, so doors may need adjusting after fitting.
✅ Make sure the floor is ready – The existing floor should be clean, dry and free from loose debris.
✅ Let us know about any issues – Uneven floors, damp, loose floorboards or old flooring that needs removing should be mentioned beforehand.

Why is preparation important?

A properly prepared room allows your fitter to work safely and efficiently, while helping your new carpet or vinyl sit correctly, look its best and perform properly for years to come. 👌

It also helps avoid delays and unexpected issues on fitting day.

📲 Got a carpet/vinyl fitting coming up? If you’re unsure what needs to be done beforehand, just get in touch — we’re happy to help!
