Late last night we were called out to an 82-year-old gentleman in Wilmslow after he had been burglary. The scumbags smashed his large orangery window, ransacked the house, and stole the Christmas presents.
It’s absolutely disgusting that anyone would target a vulnerable elderly person like this – especially at Christmas.
Fortunately, we dug out an old double-glazed unit from our scrap pile (one that was waiting to be recycled) – it was almost a perfect fit, just needing a small packer board at the top. We got it glazed straight away: secure, weatherproof, and no draughts.
Now he can enjoy his Christmas dinner in the orangery without a boarded-up window spoiling the day.
We’ll have a brand new unit manufactured and installed ASAP in the New Year.
