Dates for the diary 🍂

There’s lots happening around the table at Old Green this autumn.

From paper making, silver jewellery and botanical stitch to candle making, scent and tea blending, autumn wreaths and our seasonal social — plus our first Studio Seconds Day and the return of our Winter Gathering.

Come to learn something new, work with your hands, meet other people or simply spend a few hours doing something different at our woodland-edge studio in Dorset.

We’ve also opened a handful of dates for private bookings, if you’d rather gather your own friends, family or team and have the studio to yourselves.

September at the studio 🍂

A new season, and plenty of reasons to come and spend some time with us.

This month you can make paper from plants and waste materials, create your own silver jewellery, gather around the table for an autumn wreath workshop — or come and have a rummage at our first Studio Seconds open day.

We’ve also opened a handful of dates for private bookings, if you’d rather gather your own people and have the studio to yourselves.

We can’t wait for this - Emma is returning to our Dorset Studio with her Autumn Wreath workshop. Just one date so grab a spot while you can, and create your own stunning wild Autumn wreath. Made using a repurposed metal barrel strap these wreaths are a natural statement piece that stands the test of time - the one Emma made for the studio last year is still just as beautiful today 🌾

Notice the turn 🍂

We talk a lot about living with the seasons, but really, it starts with something very simple: paying attention.

So for the next five Sundays, we’re inviting you to join us.

Take ten minutes. Step outside. Look at somewhere familiar and notice what’s changed since the last time you really looked.

This week, we’re looking for ripening blackberries — but yours can be anything. Fruit appearing. Flowers going to seed. A change in the light. Something arriving, disappearing or simply looking different.

Come back and tell us one thing you’ve noticed in the comments.

Each Sunday you join in gives you one entry into our draw. At the end of the five weeks, we’ll choose one person to gift an Autumn Chapter to someone they think could use a little more connection to the world around them.

This idea sits at the heart of our Seasonal Chapters too. We believe the seasons give shape to the year, and by paying attention to them, we give shape to our lives.

The next Chapter begins 🍂

Every season has something different to offer.

Spring invites us to begin. Summer encourages us to grow. Autumn asks us to gather what matters, preserve what we value, reflect on the months behind us and let go of what no longer serves us.

We created the Seasonal Chapters because we believe the seasons give shape to the year. By paying attention to them, we give shape to our lives.

The Autumn Chapter is now open.

Inside you’ll find handcrafted seasonal objects alongside a beautifully illustrated guidebook, designed to help you experience autumn more fully while it’s here. This year we’ve introduced several brand new pieces created exclusively for the Autumn Chapter, many of which won’t be available anywhere else.

Orders are now open and will close on 17th September, allowing every Chapter to arrive in time for the Autumn Equinox.

Can’t believe it’s been a whole week since we opened up our doors and welcomed the most incredible makers and so many wonderful guests to the studio. We think this was our best one yet but what do you think? Did you come and if you did what was your favourite thing about it?

Now, time to start planning our Winter one! 🙌🏻
