I translate Aylesford hedgerows into calm, repeat designs. I study leaf rhythms, twig angles and gaps, then simplify shapes into a balanced motif that flows across wallpaper and cushions. I create a palette-sage, to reflect different times of day and the seasons of Kent . Scale is careful: small motifs for cushions, larger repeats for walls, so the pattern breathes in each space. Step inside the making of a wallpaper. I sketch each line by hand, then refine ink and tone until it feels like home. This design came from a fun doodle of a Pelican I saw sitting on a roof in Florida.
