I’ve been making a great Elderberry Tonic in the past years to ward off colds during the winter months. Bonus points that it’s delicious too. Sloe berries are also great for jams and Sloe Gin 🫐

Its been a fun few months of painting blooms for special events 🌸

🌸For my wedding morning, I painted glasses for myself, my bridesmaids and the mummas to have a little pre celebration drink
🌸I painted a bottle for a friends birthday with beautiful pink flowers (her fave colour!)
🌸Another floral bottle for a lovely friend on her special birthday, painted with some seasonal blooms

It’s been a whole 6 years since I was lucky enough to assist as a botanical designer for a Harper’s Bazaar shoot for no other than Quentin Jones 🤯

I had a lovely neighbour who was a botanical set designer and needed an assistant to help make these wearable pieces. Thankfully I was being furloughed from my full time role at the time, so was able to help.

What a dream it was too! From visiting the wholesale florists up in Enfield (HUGE warehouses full of all things flowers and related), to brainstorming and designing the pieces, I learnt so much and loved it all.

Seeing the pieces I made being part of the shoot and making last minute amends was so exciting and then seeing the final shoots a short time later was mind blowing 🥹🎉 little old me being part of a major magazine shoot!!!

Unfortunately I returned to my full time role soon after (boo) so wasn’t able to help on any future projects 😢

I always look back at these past projects and events with fascination of how much I’ve truly done and how far I’ve come over the years. I really should advocate for myself more!!

So here’s a little throwback for you all, and a little behind the scenes of the making too. I hope you love it as much as I do
