The Grand Ring at Expo 2025 Osaka is more than the world’s largest timber structure, it’s a powerful expression of ”Unity in Diversity.”

Designed by architect Sou Fujimoto, this remarkable space blends traditional Japanese craftsmanship with modern engineering, creating an immersive environment where architecture is experienced through light, material, movement, and atmosphere.

Concrete. Light. Space.

The Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art, designed by Tadao Ando and opened in 2002, demonstrates how simplicity can create a powerful architectural experience. Through carefully framed views, natural light and minimalist materials, the building encourages visitors to slow down and engage with the space around them.

A wonderful example of designing with the senses.

🏆 Award-winning design begins with one question... How do you want people to feel?

I’m incredibly proud that The Edge at Whitehaven, a project I had the privilege of designing, has won New Tourism Business of the Year at the Cumbria Tourism Awards.

From day one, my goal wasn’t just to create a beautiful interior, it was to design an experience that engages the senses. Every material, texture, lighting choice and detail was carefully considered to create a space people genuinely enjoy and remember.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this vision to life. This award is a celebration of great teamwork and thoughtful design.

Sensory Reflections | Amsterdam Light Festival

Inspired by the subtle movement of a child growing in the womb, this mirror installation gently morphs and evolves, reflecting the lights, colours, and rhythms of Amsterdam after dark.

Rooted in sensory design and technology, the piece responds to its surroundings, creating an ever-changing experience where light, reflection, and perception become one. As the city comes alive at night, the sculpture transforms—capturing fleeting moments and turning them into a living kaleidoscope of Amsterdam’s illuminated landscape.

Through its mirrored surfaces, the installation amplifies the city’s glow, inviting visitors to experience Amsterdam not only through sight, but through a deeper awareness of movement, atmosphere, and connection.,❤️✨
