Well, the cake has almost all been eaten but this lovely Royal Worcester plate is still for sale!

This fine bone china domed cake plate is by Royal Worcester and is in the ‘Vine Harvest’ pattern. It features a pretty garland of vines with green/golden and red/purple bunches of grapes around the border on a white background with a gold rim.

It comes in its pristine box and all original packaging and looks like it has never been used. It would look splendid displaying a cake and would not be out of place with a selection of cheese and grapes. It would certainly be the central feature of your table!

I’ve been a little quiet this week as we were away on holiday in bonnie Scotland…. Pics to follow!
I just had to post some photos of the glorious roses in our garden today. Most of them are flowering for the first time and I’m thrilled with the results!

Here we have a lovely pair of milk or water jugs, one medium and the other in a larger size. They are made of semi-opaque milk glass, such a popular vintage style for kitchenware. They feature a pair of peach coloured roses and green foliage on both the front and back. They are both in very good condition and would be a great addition to your kitchen!

Just like a burst of bright sunshine, this 3-tier cake stand by Paragon with matching milk jug and sugar bowl is perfect for afternoon tea in the garden! The ‘Six World Famous Roses’ range was designed by Paragon in conjunction with the renowned rose grower, Harry Wheatcroft (1898-1977), an eccentric English gardener known for his flamboyant clothes and huge whiskers! He was also responsible for introducing some of Britain’s best loved roses, including ‘Peace’ and ‘Queen Elizabeth.’

This particular one featured on the cake stand plates is bright yellow and is called Madame Ch. Sauvage. The milk jug and sugar bowl are in the same pattern with pale yellow on the inside with a generous gold gilt…. Opulent and elegant!

Sunny days mean that I’m out in the garden most of the time, happily pottering around and watching things blossom and grow…. I simply love it! I’ve started planting in terracotta pots of different shapes and sizes and it’s looking great so far!
