THE DOORS ARE OFFICIALLY OPEN! 🥂

From Monday 2nd November, we’re delighted to welcome you to our brand-new Norfolk Shutter Company and Bourne Blinds showroom!

It’s been a long journey getting to this point, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve created.

We’ve designed the showroom to give you the opportunity to come in, have a look around, get some ideas and see for yourself the huge range of products we offer.

From blinds, shutters and beautiful handmade curtains to pergolas, awnings, outdoor kitchens, canopies and much more. There’s plenty to see!

But there’s something I really want to get across.

Just because we’ve created a beautiful, high-end showroom, please don’t assume that means high-end prices.

We work extremely hard to remain competitive, and thanks to our buying power and the volume of work we carry out, we’re able to offer fantastic products at very competitive prices.

Whether you’re looking for a single blind, a pair of curtains or you’re working on a complete home renovation, everyone is equally important to us.

And most importantly, there’s absolutely no pressure to buy anything.

Come in, have a coffee, have a look around, ask questions and get some inspiration. That’s exactly what we’ve built this showroom for.

A very special home, and a project we’re incredibly proud to have been part of. 🏡

We’ve been fortunate enough to work in some beautiful properties over the years, but this one really is something else. Without doubt, one of the most prestigious homes in Norfolk.

We’re very grateful to the homeowners for allowing us to share a little of this stunning property and the work we’ve carried out.

From our beautiful handmade curtains, finished with walnut curtain poles, to our cassette roller blinds, there’s been so much attention to detail throughout.

We’ve also created bespoke upholstered window seat cushions for the games room, complete with matching scatter cushions. All handmade by us, and another example of how much more we can offer beyond traditional window furnishings.

But what makes this project even more special to me is the family connection.

My brother Louis, of Bourne Flooring, has carried out the flooring and carpets throughout the property, while my other brother Jamie, of Living in Paradise, has supplied the beautiful furniture and sofas.

And of course, ourselves at The Norfolk Shutter Company, looking after the curtains, blinds and bespoke soft furnishings.

Three brothers. Three businesses. One incredible home.

Between us, we really do cover so much of what goes into creating a beautiful interior, from the flooring and furniture right through to the curtains, blinds and those all-important finishing touches.

And it’s something I’m incredibly proud of.

A beautiful finishing touch to an incredible home! 🤎

We’ve had the pleasure of working on several rooms in this stunning property, and today it was time to finish the lounge.

These gorgeous curtains were handmade in our very own workshop by Kaz and Tiff, beautifully complemented by stunning walnut curtain poles.

And here’s something you might not know…

Kaz always likes to hang and dress the curtains herself! The boys take care of fitting all the hardware, but when it comes to the final finishing touches, that’s Kaz’s department.

She’s been doing it for years, and it’s something she takes real pride in. For her, the job isn’t finished until every pleat is sitting just right.

It’s those little details and that personal pride in our workmanship that make all the difference.

A DREAM TURNING INTO REALITY! 🖤

After months of hard work, long days and plenty of determination, we’re finally putting the finishing touches on our brand-new showroom!

What started as a dream is now almost a reality, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve created.

Our official opening is Monday 2nd November! 🎉

We’re just completing the final displays, with some beautiful blinds, curtains and finishing touches still to come.

We can’t wait to welcome you through the doors and show you what we’ve been working so hard on.

Some windows really do test your patience! 😅

This beautiful beachfront property in Hunstanton was certainly one of them!

We were tasked with installing a motorised free-hanging cellular blind into this stunning apex window. Sounds straightforward enough… absolutely not!

The ceiling was out, the walls were out, the floor was out, and just about every angle we measured was different. Nothing was straightforward with this one.

I’ll be honest, this was one of those installations that really tested us. But walking away wasn’t an option. We stuck with it, worked through the problems and made it work.

And looking at the finished result, I’m so pleased we did. Had Dan install this as we had to discuss every hurdle we had to get over, to get it right.

A beautiful blind, a stunning window and an incredible view out to sea. 🌊

Sometimes it’s the most challenging jobs that give you the most satisfaction.

It’s really starting to feel like a showroom now 🙌

Another big step forward today — the carpet tiles are down, all the lighting is in and I’m genuinely so pleased with how it’s looking.

Massive thank you to my brother Louis at Bourne Flooring for getting the flooring sorted for us 👏

We’re now at that exciting stage where we’re waiting for all the displays and samples to be made and fitted. I don’t want to put an exact opening date on it just yet, but we really aren’t far away now.

It’s been a lot of work getting to this point, but walking around it today and seeing it all coming together makes it worthwhile.

Not long now… 👀
