Started a job today putting up a curtain pole and setting up a console. New parts are needed for the console and the curtain pole. Will be going back to finish off job. Job was in Eynsham.

Today's job was to look at a Sharp
KD-NCB8S7GB9 tumble dryer that would power on perfectly but just completely refused to start a cycle. I started off by trying a factory reset to see if it was a quick software glitch, but no luck there. After running a few more tests, I tracked the issue down to a failed main control board. I advised the customer that it would actually be cheaper to just buy a new tumble dryer than to replace the control board. Job was in Carterton.

Today I went back and did some more jobs for my regular customer who lives in Windrush.

Investigated a fridge-freezer today that was repeatedly tripping the consumer unit. After testing the appliance on in a different socket to rule out any home wiring issues, we confirmed the fault originated within the unit itself. Inspecting the condenser revealed an internal short circuit caused by component failure. Given the age of the appliance, I advised the customer against a repair because the cost of parts and labor would exceed the price of a replacement unit.
