We have a passion for Fine English Antique Furniture dating from the reigns of Charles II through to George IV. The Harvey's family business was founded in 1951 in Chalk Farm, London and expanded into showrooms in Mayfair at 5, Old Bond Street before opening premises at 86 Corn Street in Witney in 1996. The emphasis has always been on quality and integrity whilst conservation is undertaken in their own skilled workshops. Harvey's are proud of having sold pieces to museums, collectors and designers Worldwide for over six decades. In many cases they are dealing with the third generations of families both buying and selling.

It really is wonderful to find a truly untouched piece with a brilliant "crusty" patina! Pure Regency and in need of a good wax-up without removing the ages of smoke-filled, wood and coal-fired rooms.

Being an Antiques Dealer really is such fun. Daily dicoveries come my way and few have made me laugh more than this wonderful long engraving. The Long Minuet as Danced at Bath and shown here is a brilliant caricatureof high society in Georgian England by Henry William Bunbury (1750 – 1811) published by William Dickinson in 1787. My first post on Instagram took place 8 years ago with a pretty little Gillows Chamber Table so it is appropriate that many hundrers of posts later I should want to show a pair of Gillows stamped pieces. I have ordered some replacement material and they will soon have the non matching panels restored to bring them back into line.
