Well, well, well… what an honour to be invited onto the judging panel for The National Flooring Awards

For me, this moment represents: 25 years of refusing to conform. 25 years of pushing for excellence. 25 years of insisting that flooring deserves to be recognised as a craft, not simply a trade. And 25 years of standing up for those who often go unheard in our industry. Especially women. No matter the personal consequence….

This event feels different. It’s authentic. Nominations and votes come from those with boots on the ground. No politics. No pretence. No nonsense. No back-handers. (Yes.....I said what I said!)

Just genuine recognition of the skill, resilience and creativity that keep our industry alive. I don’t often post here, but being part of this panel feels significant. It’s a chance to amplify voices, spotlight excellence, and keep pushing for collaboration over competition.

I’m proud to stand alongside an outstanding group of judges and to be part of the Cockerill & Co. This event is worth shouting about...we drive the need to stand above the crowd, push momentum, and raise professional standards through collaboration and support. That’s what our industry needs.

Here’s to celebrating the real blood, sweat and tears that go into our craft, and to opening the door wider for others to follow….Join us in January for the MOMENTUM your flooring business needs to shine :)
