A full American BBQ feast… it must be a Kirby thing…

Last weekend’s birthday party turned into a full on BBQ smokehouse experience 🇺🇸
Brisket cooked and sliced to perfection, pulled pork stacked high, smoky pit beans, fresh slaw and pickles that tied it all together 🤤

Blend giving the brisket the perfect seasoning and bark.

All pulled off by my brother.. Time to get him working for .bbq!!

NOT EVERY BBQ COOK GOES TO PLAN… BUT WE MOVE ON

Final day of and it’s all about brunch & sweet treats 🥞

Tried cooking pancakes on the kamado using cast iron and let’s just say… the grill was too hot, pancakes stuck, failed flips and plenty of frustration.
But BBQ is all about adapting. Switched to the trusty non stick indoor pan and finally got there in the end.
Fluffy pancakes filled with chocolate spread and fruit and rolled for a super fun Sunday breakfast. Certainly had the kids smiling

IF IT DOESN’T PULL LIKE THIS… I DON’T WANT IT

It’s Day 7 and my fav… Low & Slow Saturday is here �Pork shoulder coated in Red, smoked low and slow on the kamado until pull-apart tender.
Loaded into a toasted brioche bun with fresh rocket and a hit of BBQ sauce for the perfect balance of smoke, sweetness and fire-cooked flavour 🤤
Simple food done properly over charcoal.

SKIP THE DRIVE THRU… THIS BIG MAC FAKEAWAY HITS HARDER

It’s Day 7 and this is how Fakeaway Friday is done properly 🍔�Double smashed patties, melty cheese, shredded lettuce and a homemade Big Mac sauce that tastes dangerously close to the real thing 👀
Served up with crispy chips and cooked over live fire for that extra flavour hit. Fast food vibes… BBQ upgrade.

THIS is your sign to do a freezer dive BBQ 👀

Thrifty Thursday for UKBBQWeek called for a proper freezer dive.

Found some long sausage dogs buried in the freezer, raided the leftover dips from the fridge, grabbed a couple of baguettes from Morrisons and turned it into these loaded salsa dogs 🌭

Topped with leftover chillis, salsa and sour cream for the ultimate budget BBQ snack. Proof you don’t need expensive ingredients to cook up something banging over fire. Sometimes the best BBQ comes from using what you’ve already got.

Crispy, flaky, smoky and proper comfort food with a BBQ twist.
