Printmaking: Creative Lino Workshops

A chance to create your own lino print projects with an expert to hand.

This workshop is ideal for those who have already had an introduction to lino cut printing and would like to continue on their own projects and designs.

Or if you’re a beginner, our tutor, Helen Maxfield can introduce you to lino printing and help you bring your ideas to life.

A perfect way to get started in lino printing, refine your technique or complete a bigger project over a series of sessions.

You will have access to cutting tools, inks and equipment to create your lino cut prints.

Come along with your own inspiration & ideas or be inspired by the resources provided.

Please Note: if you are working on a particularly large project, there may be an additional cost to go towards materials.

Clay: Festive Ornamental Gonk, Santa , Angel or Tree

Make your own Festive Ornamental Gonk, Santa , Angel or Tree from Clay.

Our resident Ceramic Artist, Emma Jayne Robertson, will help you to make your conical base from a slab of clay.

Then you are free to decorate it with clay - maybe- stars, baubles, tinsel, candy canes.

If you wish, you can add holes to transform it into a lit centrepiece for your Festive table.

You will learn how to roll, join and model clay, with lots of support and guidance from Emma.

You have the option to decorate your pieces with a range of colours at a later date (additional charges will apply). Alternatively we can add a clear or white glaze or single coloured underglaze wash. Please just let us know before you leave your session.

You will be able to collect your masterpiece once it has been completed and fired in our kilns in time for Christmas. (If you wish to decorate yourself - Please refer to our Timetable to find the last firing date in time for Christmas collection)

An introduction to using Parian clay: make fine, white Christmas Decorations that glow.

Make festive decorations from fine, white Parian clay. Add textures and imprints that will 'glow' when hung in front of your tree lights or in a window.

Emma will share her tips and tricks for working with the clay and has a bucket full of seasonal shaped cutters for you to use.

Due to the beautiful translucent quality this clay has once fired, we will be leaving these plain and unglazed so the textures and imprints you make work with the light.

Clay: Fairy Tale Castle - Tower or Turret Workshop

Come a build a Fairy Tale Castle, or a Tower or a Turret, whatever takes your fancy in our "Once Upon a Time" Theme at our New Studio in Framlingham .

Learn how to manipulate clay into simple forms, to create a castle tower or turret with added embellishments, textures and detail.

Pick up some new clay skills with the EJaRt Team

You will learn how to roll, cut and join clay using a simple technique You will then have time to attach extra embellishment details or add texture and pattern to the surface of your clay.

The Team will share lots of tips and tricks, with support and guidance throughout.

You have the option to decorate your piece with a range of colours at a later date (additional charges will apply). Please just let us know before you leave your session.

You will be able to choose whether to have it gloss glazed or not and then collect your masterpiece once it has been completed and fired in our kilns. (Please note that this could take a few weeks, as it will need to dry out thoroughly and then be fired twice.)
