So I decided I wanted a new wash bag with a draw string and found one in a shop BUT it was £25 and I thought 'do you know what, I could make one myself for a LOT less'

So here we are 🥰 I love this plant fabric! Do you??

What a year ... here are few sewing projects highlights. Seems to be the year of cushions and storage buckets!!
I have been quiet for the past 3-4 months because work got busy
One of my new year objectives is to carve out some time for sewing... I will try and be more active so you can follow the journey

⭐️ custom order alert ⭐️

So this is what I have been up to over the past couple of weeks..... a family friend bought some stunning fabric on a holiday in Africa and asked me to make some cushions for their outside seating area. I jumped at the opportunity.

I made 10 cushions, 12" by 20" with a plain navy cotton envelope backing. I decided to do 5 of each bias piping for a bit of variety.
I also made 3 face masks out of this material (forgot to take photos of these!)

I have also been sewing badges onto a cushion cover for another friend but this is a slow process as I keep attacking my fingers with needles 🤦🏼‍♀️

So all in all with work and this I have been busy! But I have thoroughly enjoyed making these.
I have asked for action photos of these 10 cushions in situ so watch this space!

If you have some fabric you want making into something like cushions. Just ask and I will give you a quote 🥰🥰

There are now 3 of these make up bags on my Etsy shop. The dark red zip has slightly different dimensions!

They are fully lined with funky bright orange cotton - perfect for make up, toiletries or even pens/pencils and a cheeky calculator (love an old school Casio calculator)

Last chance to grab one of the fabulous beach hut cushions 🤩

I am just packaging up his friend to go to a new home down south - can't wait to see his new home! Hope they love him as much as I do

Side note - I know I am treating this cushion as a person (make person for some reason!) but I often refer to inanimate objects as a person - I have been known to name kitchen equipment, all my cars have had a name.... wonder what this cushions name could be... any suggestions leave me a comment ?
