Short Description

This will be the last edition to the Lantern & Ledger series for 2026. The story will continue in 2027.

I honestly didn't think I'd have such a positive reaction to the release of The Lantern & Ledger Fibre guild (see previous post), so much so I've worked my little socks off to bring you a limited edition 13 day countdown.

The wait is finally over.

By listening to your feedback, I've decided to bring back after a 2+ year hiatus a certain mini skein club. This has been the most asked about club ever!

This mini skein club was previously known as dark, moody & mysterious. As with anything, businesses change & and evolve, and mine certainly has over the past 8+ years. As many know, I'm slowly transforming my business into a book themed business, and for this reason, the club will now be named 'The Lantern & Ledger fibre guild.'

The Lantern & Ledger Fibre guild lives in a gothic castle enclosed in a magical world — a place where every skein is a story, every colourway a chapter, and every stitch a spell.

At its heart, The Lantern & Ledger Fibre guild is a guild of fibre‑keepers who work by candlelight in a forgotten wing of a medieval castle. The lantern represents illumination, guidance, and the warm glow of creativity. The ledger represents ancient records, spellbooks, and the meticulous craft of documenting lore — it's the perfect club that releases themed mini skeins that blend gothic romance, medieval scholarship with magical secrecy.

Yarn colourways will be based on the monthly moodboard of that particular month.

The reintroduction of a club means that one club needs to go, and after 3.5 years, that club will be the blast from the past club. With Augusts clubs being released on June 1st this will be the last time blast from the past will be available.

Feedback is incredibly important to me. I have listened, and newsletter subscribers will now be able to purchase their clubs 24 hours before anyone else. Due to putting a cap on the amount I sell of each theme and yarn base, some customers felt I was being unfair. I'd like to reward my newsletter supporters, and by doing this, hopefully, there will be no more disappointment with sellouts, etc.

Over the next couple of months I will be introducing a couple more book themed clubs which will mean the two clubs with the least amount of sales will be discontinued.

Who else is pleased the slightly cooler weather is with us? It's still hot but nowhere near the temperatures we've been having.
Just means it's now cool enough for a jumper/sweater cast on!
I'm using commercial yarn [I might be a yarn dyer, but I do still use it!] by James C Brett in the emotions range.

No pattern as such, as usual, I'm making it up as I go along, as I always seem to go off piste when I use a pattern anyway!

Finally, the ombre yarn seems to be a hit, so I'll be releasing 4 new boxes:

Again, these are capped at a certain amount.

Eurovision survival kit 2026! 🎶

I'm embarking on a mammoth book reading journey by starting book 1/18 in the Realm of the elderling series.
Wish me luck. It might take me a while!

Not only that, but I've ve finally got my sockjo back! It's been Mia since Christmas, and I've actually very nearly completed my first pair of socks for 2026.

Yarn colourway is from my 'the time travellers wife' mini collection: I wouldn't change one second.

It's been a couple of weeks since my last grid post, and I doubt if anyone had noticed 😬

In that time , I've started a new blanket project (What another one?!) I couldn't find anything I actually wanted to use this yarn for so decided to do my own pattern.

I need to make hundreds of little rectangles, so it'll take me a while.

In other news:

Christmas Eve boxes are still available but are limited in numbers.

The special edition of Lord of the Rings listing closes this evening (May 10th).

July's clubs will close on the 15th of May.

The 31 day Halloween calendars will close on May 31st.
There's only the odd theme left now. These are themes that I've done before in collections or clubs, and the colourways will be different. These themes will then be retired at the end of May.

The deluxe Advents have now sold out, and I still have a few of the regular advents available. I'll be looking at closing these listings sometime in June.
