A few days ago, we shared some photos from The Greats Awards.
One comment stopped us in our tracks.
Not because it upset us.
But because it reminded us how easily women’s achievements can be overlooked in favour of discussions about appearance.
When we look at these photos, we don’t see what that comment saw.
We see a mother and daughter.
Ten years of working side by side.
Early mornings. Late nights.
Christmas windows built long after the shop had closed.
Buying trips. Deliveries. Challenges. Milestones.
A little independent shop in Worcester that we’re incredibly proud of.
But if this experience taught us anything, it’s how fortunate we are to have such a supportive community around us.
The kindness, encouragement and messages we received meant more than you’ll ever know.
So thank you.
For supporting independent shops.
For supporting women in business.
And for reminding us that kindness will always be louder than criticism. ❤️
