I catch myself doing this all the time, scrolling through photos of overhead floral installations and flower walls while I’m supposed to be checking my own bank balance. It’s so easy to fall into that trap where you think a wedding only looks ‘finished’ if it has £10,000 worth of orchids dripping from the ceiling.
I’ve been there, I know how hard it is to bring all those details together when you’re trying to be honest about a tight budget. You start looking at those high-end Pinterest boards and suddenly your own ideas feel a bit small, even though they were exactly what you wanted five minutes ago. It makes you feel like you have to pick a trend you don’t even like just because it’s the only way to make the room look ‘full’.
But a real budget doesn’t mean you have to settle for a stock photo wedding. We just look for the subtle details that actually make it personal to you instead of trying to copy an influencer’s mood board.
