Glass Club this week was all about 3-layer suncatchers! ✨🌊

Out came the powders, frit, pens, glue and the obligatory cups of tea! ☕😂

From seahorses and waves to flowers and landscapes, everyone took the same technique and made it completely their own. That’s our favourite bit – no two pieces ever come out the same. 💙

Now they’re off to the kiln for a little magic. We can’t wait to see the finished results! 🔥

Sorting photos today and completely fell down a rabbit hole…

Over the last 10+ years we’ve welcomed thousands of people through the studio doors. Looking back through the photos I found brides, puppies, TV cameras, some amazing glass, a few questionable hairstyles, and lots of smiling faces.

A lovely relaxed afternoon making handkerchief vases in the studio today ☀️

It’s always fascinating seeing how different designs develop from the same starting point.

These are still works in progress and will head into the kiln later this week. Can’t wait to see the finished results!

We run handkerchief vase workshops throughout the year and they’re suitable for complete beginners.

A few finished pieces from private group workshops this week ✨

One of the things we love about fused glass is the colour. Before firing it’s lovely, but once it’s been through the kiln and catches the light, it really comes alive.

These were all made by our workshop participants over the last few days.

Three generations, one table, and lots of glass. 😊

Today we welcomed a lovely family to the studio, with grandparents, parents and son all creating their own fused glass designs.

From poppies and giraffes to landscapes and abstract pieces, everyone took a completely different approach and that’s one of our favourite things about fused glass workshops – no two projects are ever the same.

We can’t wait to see these after firing! 🔥✨
