Well, that was a bit weird… 📺😂

Yesterday we had Channel 4 in the studio filming for Four in a Bed.

Our slightly unusual job for the day was helping everyone make fused glass coasters — with a fairly enormous camera following proceedings. 😅

It was great fun, a little bit surreal, and their finished coasters have come out brilliantly… considering!

As for when it’s going to be on TV… we may or may not tell you when the time comes. 😂

There’s lots going on at the Cone this Halloween weekend 👻

We’ll be in the studio on Saturday making fused glass jewellery, and we still have spaces on both our 10–12 and 2–4 sessions.

You’ll have two hours to play with loads of different glass and make multiple pieces — pendants, earrings, bracelets or whatever takes your fancy. Once they’ve been fired, we’ll add all the findings and turn everything into finished, wearable jewellery for you.

💎 Saturday 31st October
⏰ 10–12 or 2–4
💷 £65pp
📍 Red House Glass Cone, Stourbridge

There’s plenty happening around the rest of the Cone too, including Halloween activities and the Mary Stevens Hospice fundraising glass walk on Saturday 😬

So you can make some glass with us… and then watch other people walk on it 😂

Workshop places can be booked through our website.

Something a bit different happening in our studio this Sunday!

Sue Halstead is back with us running one of her lino printing workshops — this time it’s Print My Pet 🐈🐕

Bring along a photo of your pet and turn them into your own lino print — or, if you’d rather, you can do wildlife instead. I’m rather fond of the hedgehog 😁

Sue has a couple of spaces left for this Sunday, 25th October, 10am–2pm at the Red House Glass Cone.

If you fancy giving something different a go, get in touch with Sue to book.

🌵 Fancy making your own glass cactus?

We’ve still got a few spaces on our Cactus Workshop this weekend at Glass Quarter Designs in Stourbridge.

You’ll make your own little collection of fused glass cacti, ready to brighten up a windowsill without ever needing watering 😁

It’s been a busy few days at Glass Quarter! 😅

Lots and lots of ladies through the studio — and a couple of lovely gentlemen too!

So much glass being cut, smashed, sprinkled and generally messed about with, and some brilliant things heading into the kilns.

It’s certainly been keeping me, Charlotte and Lou busy! 😂

A really lovely few days in the studio ❤️
