📆 15–17 October 2026

The Flowers-in-the-Fields festival takes place at St Martin-in-the-Fields in London this week as part of the church’s 300th anniversary celebrations.

Under the creative direction of Judith Blacklock, the church will feature floral displays created by professional florists, community groups and flower enthusiasts.

Floral demonstrations from some of the industry’s leading designers will also take place throughout the three days.

Can you believe it’s been a week since FleurEx already?! 😱

We thought we’d share a lovely little catch up with our Retail Florist of the Year winner! 🏆🙌🏻✨

Our very own BFA Retail Director, Donna Cornish, who also looks after our social media, caught up with the lovely Denise from Helensburgh Flowers on the second day of FleurEx to see how she was feeling after winning Retail Florist of the Year 2026 at the BFA Industry Awards! 💐🙌🏻✨

It was lovely to hear how Denise was feeling following her win and what this wonderful achievement means to her.🫶🏻🌿

As our Industry Partner, Jane and Helen from Queen Bee are all about helping florists feel clearer, more confident and better equipped to market their own businesses 🐝🌿

They work specifically with florists on the kind of marketing that helps you get seen by more of the right people, generate more enquiries and turn more of that interest into sales without making marketing feel like a full time job in itself.

One of the ways they do that is through The Worker Wing: a series of live, 60 minute online workshops designed to give florists a regular hit of practical marketing CPD.

Each session focuses on one topic, with real examples, useful exercises and ideas you can apply directly to your own business.

Next up on Wednesday October 14th is Stop Selling the Flowers, a workshop all about the language you use to market what you do, and how to move beyond simply describing the bouquet to giving your customer a reason to care 💐🌿

We were so very sad to hear the news about
Susan Wills-Pope🤍

Susan had a long connection with our Association and was a much loved and respected part of our floristry community. She gave so much to the world of floristry over the years and touched the lives of so many through her beautiful work 💐

We have many fond memories of Susan and she will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her 🤍

Our thoughts are very much with Brian and all her friends at this incredibly sad time🤍🕊️🌿
