My little evening sofa craft of Scandi Stars finished and ready for my upcoming Christmas Fairs... I think it's ok to mention the big day now that we are in November... although having a November birthday, I can remember getting really miffed as a child if I saw anything Christmassy in the shops before it. The child me would be very disappointed in me 🤣

Mmmm these are very well travelled Santa's much like the big man himself. Started by a poolside in Portugal in 30C heat - must admit it did feel a bit incongruous - and finished off in Sussex in 14C. But with Christmas Fairs fast approaching it had to be done 🤣

Back in my sewing room after a busy summer. Radio is on, cuppa by my side and planning what to make for fayres coming up whilst I finish off these new lampshades. Bliss 🧡

My sewing room has been taken over by hares this week and am busy rounding them up and making them into garlands. I have lost count of how many hares I have made over the last year or so since I started making them but they always seem to hop off my stall at craft fayres!

I haven't been able to sew yet this week as had a small operation under GA which left me a bit woosy for a couple of days and didn't trust myself not to sew through my thumb - still have flash backs to when I did this post night shift! Well and truly learnt my lesson! But I have trusted myself with scissors and so am busy restocking my hare bunting on this beautiful felt that arrived from The Cotton Patch this week.
Right, wish my fingers luck am going to give sewing a go!

Well, I had an absolute ball Carry on Crafting Festival last weekend! Met so many lovely people including Talia Spells & Spindles - so lovely to meet you in person!!!! Philippa - you are looking so well. Janet Janet Felix - we seem to be CoC stall buddies and maggie & Sophie and Nikki from MoJo Craft Creations As well as past customers that I have either met in person before or only communicated online - so nice to put faces to names. Am already looking forward to next year! 🧡

Right better get back to sewing to replenish my stock including the dreaded lampshades 🤣

Whoop whoop! It's Carry on Crafting Festival this weekend - my favourite weekend of the year!

Have finished packing up my stall this morning ready to head to the South of England Show Ground at Ardingly, including these two new designs made especially for the show. Have also packed some ice blocks and a fan as it might be a tad warm!

Here's to a lovely weekend whatever you are up to. And if you are coming to the festival, I'm in Vera marquee - it would be lovely to see you 🩷

Seagull LED tealight holders are back on my sewing bench today. Who doesn't love a cheeky seagul?? I promise these ones won't steal your chips!

The fabulous Justine from .festival has given all stall holders a pair of weekend tickets to give away for the festival in July. If you would like to win them, just comment 'tickets please', tag who you would take and I'll pop your name in the hat. I will draw out the winner on 12th June 🎉

Is it just a little bit sad that on my hubby receiving a Fortnum & Mason w**e hamper, my first thought was 'ooo lovely wicker basket, mmmm how can I use that?'

Although it was closely followed by 'mmm lovely w**e!' - but that was very much an afterthought...

Well it turns out it is a perfect way to display my new crochet hook rolls. I made myself one last year and it proved so useful, I have made some for Folksy & craftshows. Each roll has eight pockets for crochet hooks, a couple of wider pockets for small scissors or a tape measure, a poppered pouch for buttons, a ring to clip stitch markers to and two felt pages for needles to sew those pesky ends in! All rolling up to a roll measuring 18x9cm. 🧡
