A lovely eve up Tyley Valley today. Overcast and threatening to rain but still lush. Spent some time picking through the "waste" from winter hazel hedge laying looking for potential shanks for walking sticks - I found a few that'll become thumb, k**b and hiking sticks, and a bunch of good timber for other projects next year when it's all seasoned.

Thanks to Max for thinking of me before putting it on the fire. 🌳🦡

Forked spalted hazel tealight holder with seams of Cornish & Mexican turquoise and purple sugilite set in resin to fill cracks in the grain. A unique item that would look great anywhere - dining room, bedroom, a nature altar or deep window sill.
