Looking back at this photo makes me feel proud of how much I’ve achieved but also a little bit nostalgic for that hope of building a business that could support me and our family. The current economic climate is beyond tough and work is very quiet and I’m not too proud to admit I’m worried. This isn’t a nice hobby it has to be financially viable. So I’m in full on ‘come up with a plan’ mode but in reality I’m stuck in a fog of indecision on the best way forward Send ideas on a postcard 😜

It’s just not feasible to deliver all our vintage cinema seats personally but when you realise your customer is just down the road it would be crazy not to! I love being able to meet my customers in person and see their reaction to the seats. This set are going to be enjoying their next stage living in a stunning house and have been placed on a beautiful landing space.

I should probably…take these decorations down but everytime I walk in this room they make me smile 😃 this table is the leftover from time spent full of family, birthday cake, laughter and far too much food.
The ribbons remind me of all of that.
I think homes should tell the story of the people who live in them.
Sometimes that means leaving the party up for a little longer. 🥳🎉

I’m currently working on a giant headboard and basically changing my mind constantly on the best way to do it. The customer gave me a sketch of what they wanted and obviously it’s not a straight forward shape or style 😂. Cue lots of asking my upholstery mates, how would you do this?? Fingers crossed it will turn out beautifully and next time it will be a breeze. Having said all that if you have an idea 💡 for a headboard hit me up and I’m sure I can make it into a reality for you 🙌🏻

Sometimes you don’t need to buy something new... you just need to see it differently.
This cinema seat already belonged to our lovely customer, Shui. She loved the seat, but wanted to give it an Unseen Icons glow up. Out went the tired upholstery and in came this incredible monkey velvet. It’s bold, colourful and completely transforms the feel of the seat, while still celebrating the original craftsmanship.
I think that’s what I love most about upholstery.
It’s not about throwing things away.
It’s about taking something with a story and giving it another chapter.

People say they’re scared of picking a bold pattern incase they get bored of it.
Funny... we’ve always thought you’d get bored much faster looking at something you never really loved in the first place.
We’ll take colour, pattern and personality over ‘safe’ every time.
Agree, or are we completely wrong?
